On September 5, a meeting was held with the villagers to mark the completion of the project to improve the supply of clean water in the village of Marzandiye, Shamakhi region.
The project was implemented under the initiative of the EcoHub ecological platform within the framework of the “Sustainable Water Initiatives” Program supported by the Coca-Cola Foundation, in partnership with the Azerbaijan State Water Resources Agency (ADSEA) and the Shamakhi Region Executive Power.
As part of the project, a 7 km long main water pipeline of various diameters was laid from the Pirsaat water source to the village. Pump units were installed in the water source area and provided with electricity, and a 60 cubic meter water tank was built in the village. Then, network lines were laid within the village, ensuring metered and continuous water supply to every house.
As a result, 1,350 residents of Marzandiye village were provided with clean water. The annual volume of water pumped into the village is estimated at approximately 146 million liters.
